Workout at Work?

Does anyone use a mini cycle or stepper at work?

I'd like to get one because I'd like to get in some more movement during the day. I have a desk job, so I have very little opportunity to get up and move.

I'm not really looking to use one to lose any weight. Only have about 10 pounds of pregnancy weight to lose, and DH and I are hoping to get back to running soon. I just want something to keep my blood moving during the day.

If you use one, do you recommend a certain brand?

Thanks for the help!

  • Dont have a brand but a cost saving tip. When I worked in the office I would just use the stairs instead of elevator. It was quite a workout.

I work for a small company that is in a renovated house. There are only 12 employees here, and we work in a one-story building, so no stairs.

I work on the 52nd floor...I would die!

OP - Could you walk around the block during your lunch break?

I also have been taking the stairs since the new year (on the 5th floor).  Now that it's nice out, I try to go for a 10 min walk around the block at lunch time.  It helps so much to get out and get some fresh air.

  • I get a half hour to eat and do all the other things I need to do. I walk around the parking lot, but I wanted a mini cycle or stepper because I could do it more than just ten minutes. Thanks for the suggestions though.
