We are very excited to be heading from the east coast to Colorado next week! There is just one problem...we are flying with our 15 month old! I am super nervous about him hating it and screaming the whole 3-4 hours. Is there any way that I can prepare so that we have ways to entertain him during the flight? He doesn't pay attention to dvds or electronic games. All suggestions welcome, thanks in advance.
Re: Toddler vs. airplane...i need a Xanax
We went from CA to Hawaii when my DD was around 16 months old. We took a bunch of new small toys/books (which I wrapped). It took her a few minutes to open the "gifts," which she enjoyed. Then, she spent time playing with the new toy. When she was bored with that toy, she could open up a new toy. I also took a ton of snacks, which preoccupied her.
Honestly, the things she enjoyed most was looking out the window at the clouds and playing with the phone on the airplane (the phone that some airplanes still have that cost a fortune to make a call on).
