MILs dog bit Caleb

In the flucking face. Yes. My MILs dog was over at our house w them tonight [they were over for dinner]. My FIL was playing w Caleb and the dog got exited and bit his right eye, left eyebrow and left ear. The skin was broken on all three places. FWIW, it's a border terrier puppy. Yes a small hyper dog.

Caleb is freaked out and now tells me he hates the dog. My MIL is upset. I'm flucking pissed and my H thinks I'm over reacting bc the dog was trying to play. Regardless the dog is not allowed to be around my kids. Ever. Again.

Oh my gosh!  How scary for everyone!  Sounds like the dog needs to stay at MILs house when they come to visit from now on.

The skin is broken, but didn't need stitches. Caleb's up to date on his Tetanus and the dogs up to date on shots, so I didn't go to the ER or anything. He looks a little rough and is staying home tomorrow w MIL bc she feels bad.

This. It is never ok for a dog to bite anyone and if a dog ever but my kid I would flip my lid. Hope Caleb is ok and hopefully you can get him around a nice, well behaved dog so that he doesn't develop a fear of them!!

Oh my! I agree completely. My own dog just bit me yesterday. I know exactly how you feel.

No he was just super hyper. But he's so "in your face" despite telling him enough or off or down, so I'm already permanently annoyed w him anyway. My BIL has a dog that's the same breed and he's still good w her. He told me he "hates Chief" so.....

Definitely not overreacting!  I would be so upset, and that dog would definitely not be welcome in my house ever again.

I hope Caleb feels better soon, and continues to be OK with the other dogs in his life.  Poor guy.
