So I am not too happy with Buy buy baby at the moment.  When we first lost our daughter, my friend called them, told them the situation and asked if the registry could be hidden since we weren't sure that we wanted it completed deleted.

They said no problem and passed on their condolences.  Today, I get my completion coupon in the mail, reminding me to purchase anything I didn't get off my registry before my July 26th due date.  Thanks for the reminder that I don't need to purchase anything.  They'll be getting a strongly worded email about this, I am sure there must be something they're supposed to do in this situation.

Anyone else have this happen?

Yes it happened to me too. I made the mistake of giving my address to one of the maternity stores and was haunted by their mailers and various baby company mailers after that. When I received a formula sample in the mail I completely lost it and called them to get off their list. She said it would take up to 6 weeks which is crazy. I asked my husband to check the mail for me until I stopped getting the mailers. Hugs to you.

I received a letter stating congratulations and offering a free first-aid kit from a hospital in the same network that Corbin was pronounced.  When I called to get removed the person I talked to (after being transferred up several times after not getting the results I wanted) said "sorry, we've received a lot of calls from people who said they weren't even pregnant."  I went off in a way I never have before.  It's one of my prouder moments.  They discontinued the program after I called.

I'm sorry you all received things like that too.  Especially from the hospital, there is no excuse for that!

I emailed them and heard back today.  They claim they did not know, and the only way to not receive the email was to completely delete the registry instead of hiding it.  When a company messes up, the only thing I hate more is when they don't own up to it.  I know my friend told them what happened and they did not inform her that deleting it was the only way to not receive future communication.  We may have still chosen not to delete it, but at least we would have had that information.  That seriously makes me reconsider registering with them in the future.

Ugh. Yep. I still recieve stuff....big ol box of formula, and coupons all the time.
