What's everyone doing for Fathers Day? It's quickly coming up. We agreed not to buy each other gifts for holidays this year, but DH still bought me flowers, made me breakfast, etc. I'm thinking of putting some things together that I saw on Pinterest, maybe a couple of fun things that don't cost that much.

Oh, I love that picture frame with the DAD pictures!
I'm not sure yet. They have a set of cool beer glasses on red envelope that you can get personalized, but that seems like kind of a weird gift if it's supposed to be coming from DS!
I also saw this engravable photo album online that's an idea.
I better get on it! Curious to see everyone's ideas!
I don't think that the beer glasses are weird. I saw personalized wine labels that I could make on Pinterest. He loves his beer and wine. I was thinking about getting his growler filled at our local place.
I got DH a new everyday wedding band. He has a nice one (his actual ceremony band) that he wears when he's dressing up, and a more simple every day one that he didn't mind getting messed up or losing since he does construction. He lost the daily one a few weeks ago so I got a him a new one. From DS I got him a keychain from etsy. It's leather and steel, with DS's name and birthday and "my dad-my hero" stamped on the metal.
I'm also thinking of seeing if there are any campgrounds with decent cabins torents in our area and just booking one for a night or two. He's been dying to go camping, but tent camping with a 20 month old sounds like pure hell.
This made me LOL. Make sure the kit Kat is a little melty too.
Oh for sure, and hopefully a little stale too.

DH and I agreed before we even had kids that Mother's and Father's Day were for homemade gifts from the kids, not another holiday that we have to buy something for each other. It's especially handy for Father's Day, since DH's birthday is June 13 and our wedding anniversary is June 22 - I can't imagine trying to buy ANOTHER gift for him in June! Last year was the exception, since Lily was too little to make anything (although I did get her to scribble on a card for him - her first scribble!). This year DH kind of forgot that Mother's Day was coming until a couple of days before. He made me a card with Lily's "help" but that's it. I'm thinking I'll get a plain picture frame and get Lily to paint it with these paint markers we got for the grandmother's Mother's Day gifts. Then I'll print a picture of the two of them together to go in it.

Originally I got us all tickets to go up and see his dad for father's day as his gift from me. LBB was going to make him a fun shirt and a new pair of sandals with his footprints inked on.
But now it's not clear FIL's going to make it to Father's Day. So I think I want to try to do/get/make something for DH that includes a picture of him, his dad, and LBB. Not sure what though.

I think I'm getting MH a Groupon for a massage. It's a really good deal at a nice place, I hope he likes it. he would never go on his own but is always jealous when I splurge on one for myself.

I will definitely report back and take pictures! There are also going to be PUPPIES there because it's a fundraiser for service dogs OMG. G is going to go bananas for the pups.

DH is getting a nice flash light. How boring, right? He helped his brother move last weekend and complain that his tiny Maglight wasn't as nice as his brother's. Maglight envy.
I'm trying to think of something more fun to add to the gift but I haven't come up with anything.

Anasazi, I actually laughed out loud when I read your post... I'd totally do the same thing.
I like the picture frame idea, I might have to steal it. Maybe have L and H each hold a "D" and our dog can "hold" the "A" haha.
