Just wondering what everyone's experience with this prescription brand vs. over the counter prenatal vitamins? While we were TTC I was just adding folic acid to my normal vitamin routine. Now that I am actually pregnant I went and bought some prenatal vitamins and am not loving the prices of them. I bought the Jamison brand from shoppers that has 30 pills plus 30 DHA pills (but I used to take Omega 3 suppliments, and isn't this really the same thing?) and this box was $23 for a months supply. But to be honest the amount of iron in these pills is not really agreeing me with that much lol.
So I called and apparently PregVit vitamins are 80% covered by GreenShield and I'm wondering if these would be my better option? Or is there really no difference whatsoever? The other options they had at shoppers was the Materna brand (which I've heard has excess dyes in it?) and Vivitas that I noticed.

Re: PregVit vs. Over the counter prenatals?
I used these ones too. I was slightly anemic, so I did supplement Iron, but that's pretty common. These are the only ones that didn't make me sick.
Thanks everyone
I'm thinking that the PregVits would have too much iron in them for my system so I will continue with the Jamesions until I see my doctor again on the 17th
