Happy but bittersweet day for my friend

If you remember, my friend and fellow bumpie gave birth at 24w to twin boys back in early February. It has been a long and tumultuous road, and one twin passed away on Valentine's Day. The surviving twin has been thriving, and after almost exactly 4 months in the NICU, it looks like they will be discharged today. I can only imagine the emotions they must be feeling right now and how bittersweet it must be.

Anyway, just wanted to give everyone an update to the final chapter of this part of their story, as a whole new book is about to be written.

I was just thinking of your friend today. I'm glad to hear the thriving twin is homebound, but I can't imagine going home with only one. Bittersweet, indeed.

It's pretty amazing that they're able to even bring the one home. Best wishes to them as they start a new normal.
