So I just had DD at the dr this morning for her 6 month check up and got the go ahead to start feeding her solids. I know she still needs lots of formula but I forgot to ask how to go about solids. What should I start with? When should I feed them? Etc. any input would be greatly appreciated! TIA!

The usual recommendation is cereal since it is the least allergenic, easier to digest and since you can mix it with formula...has a taste baby is used to.
However, there is really nothing wrong with starting purees. First foods that are great to start with are green beans, avocado, sweet potato and banana. Try the foods at whatever time is best for you both, about a hour after a bottle feeding so baby is hungry but not too hungry.
Babies will usually only eat only a couple teaspoons the first couple times. That is okay, it is more about practice at this point. Wait 3-4 days before trying new foods so that if a reaction happens, you know what food caused it. Good luck!
You should definitely continue to offer milk. I started with banana and after that I offered avocado. If you want to try some different solids I recommend you to use this website https://goodmomming.com/ as it gives you a complete list with all the foods that are recommended for any age and the ones to avoid.
