Babies: 3 - 6 Months

I totally look PG

Anyone else totally look pregnant? What is up with this? I've lost all but 10 pounds of the baby weight I gained (about 50 total) but I look 5 months pregnant. I can't imagine it will suddenly go away if I lose another 10 pounds. I've had this problem with every baby but it's the worst this time after baby 3. On Friday, we were leaving a restaurant and the bartender called out, "Wow, 3 little ones and one on the way! So close in age!" It took me a second to realize that she meant me and thought I was pregnant. Ugh. oh, and I also LOOK pregnant and am in maternity clothes right away when I actually am pregnant. Seriously, by 8 weeks last time everyone at work pretty much knew I was pregnant. Maybe some serious ab work needed? maybe plastic surgery???

  • I thought I had it bad, but my situation doesn't sound as bad as yours. I have had other people comment on me being pregnant when I wasn't after my 2nd...like years after my 2nd.  I since learned to not wear anything form fitting certain times of the month(I bloat like a mad woman post children) or if I've just enjoyed a lot of food for a few days.  I've never been very heavy, like 130-140 at 5'9" but after kids I have that lovely "pooch" out front.

  • I have only had one baby so far but I also had a hard time losing the final 10 pounds I gained 35. And it was all in my lower ab so I too was stuck in my maternity clothes and felt about 5 months preggo. Just keep working at it. I finally lost my last pound about a week ago....after 2 mos back at work it really helped. I had a c section too so the ab thing is extra hard. It took 15 wks for my incision to close after some major problems so now I can finally do some exercises. I still have a bit of a pooch but its getting better. Hang in there and keep working at it. I'm sure it's hard after 3 babies so don't beat your self up too much. : oh have you been wearing a belly band? That really helped pull things back in place for me. I used the one I had during my pregnancy. They also make postpartum belts to help retrain those muscles, which also sucks it all in! I wore mine for the first 3 months after having my daughter.

  • Hmmm...I will look into the diastasis recti thing! I am fairly slim otherwise but the gut is ridiculous.
