I'm pretty sure I've seen a movie (other than 101 Dalmatians) where this was a man's name. Yet, it's still an odd choice and it screams Britney Spears to me, also I think if anything it'd be better suited for a girl (born in the sixties).
I'm picturing a man introducing himself and saying "hi, it's nice to meet you, I'm Lucky" and having the people he meets wonder if that's his name or if he's just telling them that he has good luck in general.

I bet he'll think of some snazzy pick up lines to go with his name though!
I'm pretty use to seeing it on an adult on "General Hospital".
YES! This is where I had heard it on a man! My mom use to watch GH when I was younger. and to the other PP about gangsters, I totally agree, but I'm pretty sure that was only a nn and not his legit name.
Re: Lucky
I've always thought this about people named "Beautifull" and such... -_- the teasing they'd get would be so sad.
I knew I saw it somewhere! Thank you.

Poor thing. It really is more of a nn. If I met a man IRL and he said :I'm Lucky" I would probably laugh and walk away. It really sounds like a line.
But it really is a cute nn or name for a pet.

Yeah, but even then, it's really a nickname. His real name is Luke Jr.

They must be Elvis fans! Elvis' character in "Viva Las Vegas" is a racecar driver named Lucky.
It's actually a pretty fun NN, but I would absolutely want a more formal name to go with it. I don't think it would look good on a business card.
