Vitamins

Has anyone had a chance to ask their pediatrician about vitamins for their LO. We will be going to milk at a year and he does eat table food but its more one bite or two and he doesnt like purees any more. I will ask our pediatrician as well but from what you know should I be giving him a multivitamin as well.

Re: Vitamins

  • It depends on the child.  Dd eats a great varied healthy diet and breastfeeds so I see no need to give her vitamins.  If you think your child doesn't get enough then I would give a multivitamin.

  • DS eats lots of different foods and breastfeeds 6 to 8 times a day. I read that breastfeeding babies need extra vitamin D so we give DS 1 drop of liquid organic vitamin d for babies.
  • I would talk to your pedi. Our pedi prescribed a vitamin for DS which he gets once per day.
