I'm trying to change my life style (I want it to be permanent, so I'm trying to use a more permanent term) and it fukcing sucks. Hard. I'm almost a week in and it's driving me nuts. I keep getting caffeine withdraw headaches, sugar cravings, and I'm tired. When does it become fun?? lol
No real point to this post, just want all the sorries.
Re: 'lifestyle changes" suck azz
I could never ever quit the caffeine. Cigs were easier to give up.
It's killing me. I think I may try some tea just to take the edge off. I felt like I was super dependent on it, plus I wanna get in really good shape, I need a new man lol.
I can't quit caffeine either. It helps control the headaches and takes the edge off.
For Lent I gave up all drinks except for water. My running, body size, mood, etc didn't improve. All that happened was that I went through half a bottle of excedrin. After Lent I decided it wasn't worth it to drop it completely. I will forever be an addict.
"I stammered, unable to form a coherent thought because I have a vagina."
Once you do finally give up the caffeine though you will never go back because the headaches will be so bad! I used to drink Mountain Dew EVERY day. Once I finally pushed through and stopped, I can't even sip it any more without getting a pounding headache! Stay strong.
Focus on this addiction instead:

I gave it up once, and felt amazing. So amazing. Then I started working after after K was born and I had the worst cravings, gave in, got addicted. I want to give it up because I know how much better my body feels but I'm going to go into a headache coma in the process.
Same here! I only drink about a cup and a half of coffee a day, though. I reeeeeaaaaaallllyy loved my smokes. Love them, but I quit since I started growing a baby. It was surprisingly easy to give up.
Triple A: if you have to find a middle ground, like drinking tea or eating a small sweet to transition, do it. Don't be too hard in yourself but always continue to your end goal, and it will be a much easier travel.
