What's your favorite name that you can't use? Whether it is because DH hates it, someone close to you has already used it, or it doesn't go with you last name.
Mine would be Miller for a girl. I love this name but DH will not go for it at all. I can see why and agree that its not for everyone, but I still love it.
For a boy I like Coleman but DH also shot that one down. Its OK because I have another favorite I'm really hoping for.

Seth - already taken
Lucille - I can use it but I loathe the nn Lucy
Ivy - DH's ex
Clark - Our last name is Kent.
Kennedy - an acquaintance used it and we see them enough where it would be odd.
Daisy - My H's aunt's name.
Ivy - My H's Great Grandma.
Hollis - My H has strongly vetoed it.

After 1 year of infertility, our little miracle was conceived via our 3rd IUI on May 5, 2013.
Holland Sophia was born Jan 24, 2014.
We decided a long time ago on LENA (pronounced Lee-Nuh) but my sister named her baby LEAH (Lee-Uh).... so I think Lena is out.
I also love Camille but my husband hates it.
I would totally use it anyway!
I love Annabelle but DH hates it.
Annalise and Persephone (nn Perci), because those are the names of two of our good friends.
Liesl - way too close to our son's name.
Leonard nn Lenny - this was our top name for our son but his birthmom (open adoption) has a cat names Leonard and thought it would just be too weird.
Sebastian- an old flame of mine was named Sebastian.
Alexandra- an old flame named Alexander.
I haven't dated many guys but they had nice names!

Ophelia is also Hamlet's girlfriend who killed herself by drowning. Definitely not a positive connotation, but the name is lovely!
My favorite boy name is Jude. I Love it but DH vetoed it back on Boy #1. I'll be so sad if I end up with three boys, none named Jude!
Camden- DH vetoed, and it's quite popular with the celebs.
Mason- this will be my new nephew's name.
Lauren- DH's ex
Leah- DD's name is Lilah, and that is too matchy.
I love the names:
Leon, Xavier, Quark, Tycho, and Kelvin for boys.
Tesla and Devi for girls.
As you can tell I am a science buff.
I really like Hudson for a boy, but we already have one in the family and see if often.
Francesca Pearl is here! Josephine Hope is almost 3!
I really like Hector but our last name sounds like Kirchner and the flow is really awkward.
I've always loved Rebecca but then I got married and now SIL is Rebecca.
Jacob - DH has a cousin with that name (although we don't see them that often so it is still on my list)
DH vetoed William (and it's getting too popular any way), but it was my grandfather's name, and I've always loved Will. <sigh>
Tess, Wes, Jess.... because of our last name
Liesel, Lorelei, and possibly all other L names (which I didn't realize would be so many until I had to rule them out)... because of our last name
Owen, Ethan, Lucy, Hannah... taken by family
One of my best friends named her daughter Miller!
I can't use Ruby because my BIL used it for his dog. It was in serious consideration for DD before they did that.
For a boy I can't use Zane because I have an ex named Shane.
Demitry I really like but not DH same thing with Sterling.
I've got loads!
Name of pets-
Violet
Ruby
Lucy
Scarlett
Rhett
Family names that I see frequently and it would be weird-
Lauren
James
Isabel
Andrew
Christopher
Thomas
Luke
Extended family that are sucky people and I wouldn't want to honor-
Sophia
George
David
We may use it as a middle if we have a boy though because it's really meaningful. Willa/willow for a girl is the same.
Jude, Layla, Lucy and Lily are all just awkward with our LN.
Murphy was vetoed.
Jack - We have a short 1 syllable and a bit harsh of a last name so it's out
Audra - Hubby hates it
*Sigh* Possibly Jacob.
...and Alice...I really liked Alice.
Anything you can achieve through hard work, you could also just buy.
Tycho! FTW!
Seriously LOVE this name.
I love Audrey and Audra, but my step-daughter's name is Aubrey.
Dominic is a fave boy name, but it rhymes with our last name, and Graham, but our ln starts with "M" and it runs together weirdly.
ETA: Pretty much every other name on Earth was on the veto list because DH hated them all.
Eden or Kara - I have cousins with these names
Elle - Because of our LN
Any color or botanical name (Scarlett or Ivy)) - Again, because of our LN.
Any name that ends in W or S (Matthew or Carys) - Again. Stupid LN.
Audrey - DH hates it.
