Just use Hallie. I think people get carried away with the idea that you can't use nicknames as first names. In theory, I totally get that, but when you have to come out with a weird full name just to justify the nickname you like, you are being ridiculous.
Also, Hallie is how 99% of people will spell it. I think that Halle is setting up your daughter for a lot of correcting.
Countrymice06 that's so funny that you said that. That was our thoughts exactly. I am afraid Halle will be pronounced wrong. Thank you for your advice : it was very helpful

I always thought that Halle looked wrong. If it weren't for Halle Berry I think I wouldn't pronounce it correctly. I say go with Hallie but I also have a friend named Hally and I like that too.
DD's name is Halle....we don't have too many people screw up her name, but when they do, they call her hay-lee. The hallie spelling was too cutesie for our liking! Halle is such a classic, beautiful name! It was our top choice from day 1!

Halle is like Holly to me not Hallie. and I really dislike the spelling Hally.
Hallie is cute though and could be short for Halcyon (sort of out there for most).
Happy to help! I love it!
