After my biggest follie was only 13mm on Sunday, the RE had me stair step on clomid with four days at 100mg.
Thursday I started having bad cramps and light spotting. Today the cramps are worse and the spotting is heavier. I emailed my RE and he said not to worry. At my monitoring appt this morning I was hoping to see that my 13mm follie had matured and would be ready to trigger, but instead the NP found . . a whole lot of regular small follicles. Couldnt even find the one from last time. I felt devastated and cried after she left the room : newbie move?
Now I'm waiting on results from bloodwork to see wtf is going on. I asked her what happened to my one precious follicle and she kind of shrugged me off. She also said this spotting may just be a new cycle starting over AF since my lining was only 6.6mm anyway. Now she wants me to start Femara since she says I didnt respond apropriately to Clomid. I'm so frustrated, sad and confused. Would love it if any of you would weigh in with what you think about whats going on with this follicle fail.
Re: Follicle fail :
Reserved a semi-known proven donor in August .
Waiting for consult/screening and protocols with estimated fresh cycle timing in October
I am so sorry about the vanishing precious follie = ( I had one that went away between two ultrasounds and my RE just said that it is the bodies way of preventing a "litter" of babies, some follicles get reabsorbed or something, I'm not sure. I thought it would just be the small ones though!
