Dinner Time meltdowns?

Ever since I can remember our LO worst hours were 430600. Lately it just seems to getting worse and worse. He wants to be held but then soon as I pick him up he wants down and repeat over and over again while he is whining etc. It doesnt seem to matter if he has had good naps or poor naps or just had a snack or not. Does anyone else experience this?
Usually once dinner is on the table he is fine 9/10 times .... What gives?

Re: Dinner Time meltdowns?

  • This is DS's "fussy" time too. We eat earlier though so it's usually 3:30-5:00 for us. I think all kids have a period of the day where they're crankier than normal. This is typically when I resort to TV. DS happily watches Elmo while I make dinner. I don't think it has anything to do with naps or snacks. He was like this when he took 2 naps and he's still this way now that he's down to 1 nap.
