Thank GOD, interview...

So I posted a while ago that I had an interview a couple of weeks ago. I never heard back and today they announced they are sacking 3500 people nationally so I suspect the job is no longer on offer!

But today I got a call to arrange another interview next week. Thank God.

No one in my field is hiring. No one. And I HATE being unemployed. It is one thing to be a lady who lunches but to be unemployed and strapped for cash is totally unpleasant.?

I'm a lawyer. The bigger law firms have ALL gone into hiring freeze here. Total panic. I had 2 interviews with former employers and both said we love you, you've done more since then and we love you more, but we can't hire anyone. If we did it would be you.

The thing is I don't know if there is REALLY a "job" at this place as in advertised, or whether they just llked the look of me too. I got the interview through an agency.

And to top it ALL off, the firm already had my cv but never responded about it, then they get a call from the agency and suddenly they want to interview. If they had asked me directly 3 weeks ago I would have been 30K cheaper (the agency fee). Someone made a booboo and I just hope it doesn't mean they refuse to hire me because of a coverup!

?Calls their HR dept into serious question but hey I won't be working for them.
