Since you ladies want to stalk about food. Are food trucks common in your area? We have a ton of them and even two food truck parks. They are full of horrible for you goodness.
Nope, I think I've only had food from a truck once, and they just had hot dogs and fries. Pretty sad. My mouth waters watching them on the food channel, though, I wish we had more of them.
We don't have any in my area on a regular basis. I live in a small lakeshore town that sees a lot of tourists in the Summer so for our busiest 2 weeks of the year we have several food trucks in town. Last year DH introduced me to one that has deep fried oreos...so bad for you but so worth it.

AREN'T THEY AWESOME!!! Needless to say you know we have a ton of "food parks" around us full of crazy good (but not always good for you...but 100% worth it...) yummy food trucks! Which are you favorite??? I love them all. Good Karma, Red Jet Sweet, Gorgenzaloas (sp?), and Salsa Limone are probally my top 4!
First off, a girl I went to middle school with owns the Easy Slider Truck in Dallas...I've heard it's great!
Second, yes we have a few trucks. They're pretty popular and we eat at them when we get a chance. We used one to cater DH's 40th birthday. They use all local produce and meats, it's delicious.
Food trucks, yum! In my opinion, there aren't enough food trucks here. On second thought, it's probably good for my waistline that there aren't more food trucks.
We have a french couple selling crepes at our farmers market. They use local organic obviously farmer's market ingredients. I get spinach, goat cheese, tomato, pesto, it's amazing. They also do strawberry nutella and blueberry cream. That is the only one we have regularly.
yeah. theres a mexican one that sits in a parking lot a couple of streets down. And in 2 towns over theres a street that they all sit on. But in the popular bar spots at night there are tons and tons. including a cupcake truck! Love.
I'm in the Denton area and we get a few trucks here. We had a food truck taco festival here a few weeks ago, but i was out of town. Tacos are my favorite, so i was hugely disappointed. I hope they make it an annual thing.
I keep up with the local food trucks on sidedish blog and have been wanting to visit the park in Fort Worth.
We have at least 4 in Fort Worth
The original food park behind target, clear fork on the river, one near the stockyards, and the newest is open on weekdays in the yard area on that mansion near south side.
I thought it through, we have a cupcake truck, a very authentic taco truck, fancy mexican truck, hybrid southern/southwestern/organic truck, local/organic truck that catered our party, grilled cheese truck and I think we're getting another one soon.
The local food trucks meet up almost every friday night in a nearby neighborhood. We went a few weeks ago, there were probably more than 20 trucks along the main drag. There is a decent mix of healthy choices and bad-but-oh-so-delicious choices.
The best part of having them around (I went to college in this city) was that they were open at 3am, and after partying hard we wanted something cheap and greasy.
Re: Food Trucks
They are starting to be. I have never bought anything from a food truck, but I would like to.
The only time I have actually seen one is on the highway.

I'm so excited about it!

Here's the truck I was talking about that in DFW. https://www.easyslidertruck.com/#menu

Yes. They're everywhere 'round these parts.

I bartended downtown after college and partook of those burritos many times. The potato/green chile was the best.
