DD has never been a fan of her crib. Most of the time, whether it is just a nap or bed time, she screams the second we put her in there. We have tried putting her in there wide awake, drowsy and fast asleep...nothing works. I have considered getting some kind of crib soother but I am worried about it keeping her awake (she is curious about everything and easily distracted).
Has anyone had any luck with crib soothers? Any specific recommendations? Words of wisdom that eventually this will get better?
Re: Crib Soothers?
Dd2 has a Fisher Price Rainforest soother that lights up and a cloud b sleep sheep (it stays on longer). Dd1 has a cloud b sleep giraffe and a cloud b starry night turtle...I like the turtle because it is subtle and not right in the crib.
Have you tried a night light? My girls always hated their nurseries without night lights. Just a thought...

I never thought to try a night light, that is a great idea.
It also sounds like the rainforest soother has great reviews, so I may check into that as well.

DS has the FP Rainforest crib soother. He loves it and still will turn it on every once in a while. He also has the FP Seahorse glowing soother thing, a starlight turtle that has stars, soothing music and nature sounds, and a mother's heartbeat bear. All of them have worked for us and DS has loved them all.
Funny that you posted this today. I spent so much time today reading reviews for a crib soother. I'm picking up a second hand Baby Einstein soother tomorrow. Hopefully DS likes it. He sleeps fine in his crib at night, just need him to stay in there for naps.

We tried one--it was a lion king one when DD was about 6 or 7 months old to try to help her fall asleep in her crib. It didn't work and we took it back, so I might make sure you can return it, just in case.
