Bummed...

So I haven't posted much on here bc I can usually read through and find answers I might need. You ladies are very smart btw! But today I'm needing some words of encouragement. I will be 35 weeks tomorrow and have been seeing both an OB and a High Risk fetal maternal specialist bc of my history. I had an ultrasound this morning and while baby boy is healthy as can be with a head full of hair he's weighing in at a huge 6 pounds 7 ounces, flipped back to breech position, and my blood pressure was up. FYI my history does not include high blood pressure. This whole pregnancy has been a breeze compared to my other two but I guess I'm just worried things may start going down hill if he keeps up the 1 pound per week weight gain, my blood pressure doesn't get better, and he stays breech. I'm having to have a c section anyway against my wishes but still want him to be a healthy delivery not a we need to get him out delivery.

  • Since they know what's going on and are monitoring you, the chances of an emergency CS are pretty low. If they decide it's time to go, they'll have the necessary time to make all the arrangements for a calm procedure. Talk to them about your diet to see if there is a way to moderate his growth at this point, drink lots of water, rest with your feet up, and pray that he flips over. Other than that, there's not much you can do except leave it in the hands of the experts and let them do all the worrying!

  • I'm sorry your feeling down about all this. My baby was 9lbs. 1 oz and I delivered her fine. Also when my mother had me she said I didn't turn head down till a couple days before she went into labor. There's always hope. It's hard to do, but try not to think of the worst that could happen. He may flip again. I feel like mine flips everyday. I don't want a c-section either, but like you said we have healthy babies!
