Ladies with large chest

Obviously the area is a bit bigger since pregnancy, but I'm pretty much the same size as normal which is at 40DD... I'm having the hardest time finding bathing suit tops that support me up top. Normally I can use a halter top with no complications but since I've been pregnant, it's not quite working. It's uncomfortable and pretty much looks disgusting, IMO.

I know Victoria Secret does them by size and I can get under-wire tops, but they are so expensive and I have been holding out on purchasing one there. At this point I'm up for any price and any brand if it will work and hold these puppies up!

Where do you buy your bathing suit tops? What style do you go with? Do you use under-wire only?

TIA :)

Land's End has a great selection.  I order a bunch of different sizes/designs and then then the ones I don't want back.

I have a trimshaper tankini from JCP. The top is cut a little bit higher so ot covers more real estate and it has double straps to help distribute the weight of the girls so there isn't so much pressure in one spot on my shoulders.

Hmmm. Sounds perfect. Do you ladies order offline?

I didnt like the VS underwire one I ordered so I returned it and got a cheapo XL top from Target for like $16. It is a bandeau top that has a removable strap. I keep the strap on the keep the girls up. Covers and works! :)

The problem with VS is that the stores in my area typically only carry up to a C and anything bigger has to be bought offline... I hate returning something when it doesn't fit because I ordered offline.

I've always loved target's tops and try to find XL ones but normally they don't have anything that will match my bottoms (I'm too cheap to buy an entire bathing suit, haha). I did however think about stopping by target just to see... I'll be going there during my hunt!

I personally like to try things on if it's a brand I haven't tried yet. I "think" that particular brand tends to run a little big so your normal size might not fit you right. You could order online and then return it of you don't like it, but I would just rather make sure it fits the first time.

My preference as well. I will try JCP this afternoon. Thanks!

  • I am a DD or DDD depending on the brand of bra, and I have had good luck with Venus- https://www.venus.com/swimwear.aspx.  Their stuff is kind of pricey, but they usually have a lot of cute styles/fabrics to choose from (as well as a few tacky ones!).  Their tops have great support and stay nice for a long time. I only wear underwires, but they have ones without too.
