..on a slightly better note..

at Walmart before all this happened.. Munchkin was shouting for his daddy who was hiding round a corner playing peekaboo..and shouted SILLY DADDY... mad emy day.   he has been trying to say silly for a few weeks because we call one of our cats Silly Willy.

Last night he tried to feed himself yoghurt with a spoon.. it was a mess but he actually did manage to get some of it in his mouth lol... so we picked up some new spoons and forks for him tonight too...

I have discovered that nothing and I mean NOTHING that is designed with a suction cup can compete against my little brutus.  he rips his bath toys off the tub in one fowl swoop.. rips toys off his high chair tray just as easily and the new feeding bowls.. might as well have no suction cups at all lol. I am seriously contemplating welding stuff to that damn tray haha.

He has discovered the joys of showers this week too.. I get in with him and kneel down and hold him while he takes a shower...and he has a blast.  He still loves his baths but is totally loving showers too.  He started shouting Bat Bath baaa tonight while his dad ran his bath.. so cute.

Not so much fun is the learning to climb on the sofa trick and then  thinking he can just walk off it.. like he will somehow levetate when he reaches the edge

he has learned to poke poke and point, and shoves his finger up his nose when you say shhhhhush if he is being noisy ... he's trying to put it under his nose on his lips to imitate us, but it usually ends up  alongside his nose or up one nostril.. too frickin funny.

We have all 4 molars now not completely through but  they are all there.. the last one was a Bi@tch and took it's sweet time. 

And he finally got vaguely sick.. 14 months of not so much as a diaper rash and then he caught a cough from daddy...  nothing to get attention over and it's pretty much cured itself without the need  for meds.

 I think the highly eratic weather changes here were partly to blame.  The humidifier got a work out since the weather started to heat up and I think that helped.   Mommy however felt like she was dying last weekend and is still coughing... I knew I shoulda done those keigels   I haven't worried this much about coughing since I was pregnant lol.

My little monkey learned to climb on the sofa by climbing up mommys work bag that usually lands by the couch. If it is missing all I hear all evening is dd grunting to try to get me to pull her up. Luckily grandma taught her to roll on her belly and slide off of chairs and sofa. Unfortunately she thought that would work on our really high bed and was in for a shock when she landed pretty hard on her bum. At least her diaper cushioned some of the impact...

We haven't tried showers yet but I have been considering it.

What kind of spoons did you get? Daycare uses take and toss spoons but the seem wide for dd's mouth. However the baby spoons are just too small. Can't win!

to be honest I wasn't going there with the intention of buying utensils but while I was there saw  these.. I figured I would rather have plastic forks to learn with .. the spoons he usually used are the small metal handled ones and I've been looking for something with a bigger bowl and fatter handles. 

Since he handles his toothbrushes so well I figured these would work... so picked up something called Parent's Choice Easy Grip Spoon & Fork Set, they came in a 4 pack, two spoons two forks and Walmart wont let me link to the image so I had to go raid google images and found this... sold in stores only and I forget how much they were to be honest
