And I literally just did the step-by-step instructions on the bump's FAQ site and it's still not working.

It will take a while. I changed mine a month ago and it hasn't updated yet

If it's in the code, it's probably the issue with saving.  I've been able to change mine recently by clicking save a gazillion times.

Yeah, just keep clicking save over and over until it updates. Mine took 20+ saves.
