Follow up: Interview

I posted before that I had an interview on my due date, today. Job is 500 miles away. It was by phone, and went very well. I did not bring up anything about pregnancy in advance, but in concluding the interview they discussed that in person interviews would begin as early as next Friday. I did at that point disclose that I was pregnant, but would potentially be able to travel for an interview later in the month. The interviewers said they appreciated knowing that information, and would let me know.

We'll see what happens, but I think I made the best call at the time. Planning to travel for an interview next week just isn't realistic at this point.

Re: Follow up: Interview

  • What kind of engineer are you?  I work in Fayetteville and there are a couple of engineering openings here if you didn't want to move so far.

Sorry, my sign in name on here is misleading. I was an engineer in the USMC, but now am a school psychologist. Definitely a big career shift for me.
