Baby Names

Evander

Random midnight nymbler searching led me to Evander. I think I really like it! But sometimes I wake up in the morning after a late night name search and go 'what was I thinking??' lol

First reaction? Thoughts? TIA! :D
I used to be a big deal.  Now I'm just old.

Re: Evander

  • Is it for boys or girls?
    Anniversary
  • I automatically think of Evander Holyfield.

I did too, but I think he's the only person I've ever heard of with that name! I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing, but I still like the sound of it.

Same here. Only time I've heard it is the boxer. And I actually like the sound of it. I could totally get on board!

  • Love it! This is our runnerup name for DS2. We had actually decided on Evander for about a month but then it just didn't seem quite right so we are going with something else. Still love it tho!

    This. It's NMS.

  • I like it, although at first read it sounds a bit feminine. Of course, having a well known boxer with the name kind of balances that out. You could call him Evan for short.
  • It's NMS. I prefer Evan or Alexander.

  • The only one I've ever heard of is Evander Holyfield as well, but I like it.

Like PP said, it's kind of like Xander, so I don't think it's too "out there."
