After dealing with thyroid cancer (total thyroidectomy, radiation), I'm itching to get the pregnancy bit going. Earlier this month I took Provera for 10 days and got a period on the 11th day (May 12). Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go to the doc to start a Clomid/IUI cycle during the first 5 bleed days due to a cancer recurrence scare. Surprisingly, though, I started spotting on May 24 and it has led to light bleeding. I took an ovulation test and I'm not experiencing an LH surge.
My question is whether or not this counts for me to start a Clomid/IUI cycle. The doc's office has been closed for calls because of the holiday weekend. Not sure if I should call tomorrow to get more info and push the Day 2-Day 5 limits for starting a Clomid cycle on Wednesday, or if I should just show up at the Repro Center first thing in the morning and hope for the best. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for the advice and words of support. Regretfully I wasn't able to proceed because my RE hadn't received the cancer-free go-ahead letter from my endocrinologist in time. I can officially re-begin the process on 6/14/13.
Knowing such a great support system exists for such a complex process as IUI makes everything seem less daunting. Thank you.
