So what do you all do for playtime/time when they are not sleeping or eating...or fussing?
I usually sing patty cake a dozen times, read him little baby books I recently bought, tummy time, sing the ABC's while moving his arms (like patty cake). I have some toys that make noise/squeak... but he doesn't seem overly interested in them. So here I am trying to get new ideas by listening to what you do with your little one.
Re: Playtime with Little One...
Yep, mine just started waving the arms and legs like crazy this week so we are doing a lot of time on the activity mat swatting at the toys
It just depends on where she is developmentally. She's recently starting hitting her toys with her hands, so I put her either under her activity mat or in her monkey bouncer with dangly toys so she can bat at them for awhile. We always do tummy time a couple times a day, which she's more into because right now she's starting rolling to her back so she'll try to do that right now on her tummy.
Before, when she was more into looking at my face, we'd spend some time in front of the mirror, or she'd be laying on the bed and i'd just make faces at her and it would crack her up. So, I just kind of go with what skills she seems to be working on and that dictates our play time.
For wind down she sits under the mobile where she laughs her head off at the monkeys.
