Hi guys,
First time poster here! So please bear with me. My husband and I have been TTC for 15 months. We have been to see a fertility doctor (one of the best in the nation, Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine), and both of our tests came back not just good, but GREAT. We had blood work, ultra sound, HSG and sperm analysis. We are obviously categorized as "Unexplained Infertility." They suggest IUI. We are open to it, but decided to try for a little longer on our own, as we need to save up some cash for it anyway. I have been trying everything, including charting my BBT, CM and CP, as well as all kinds of alternative "tricks" for the past few months including, fertility acupuncture, taking simple cough syrup (only ingredient is Guaifenesin) around ovulation week, etc. I have actually been battling BV infections for the majority of last year, fertility docs assured me the infections have nothing to do with our troubles. However, I was finally diagnosed with Ureaplasma a couple months ago and treated for it (there are direct links between this infection and infertility, which some doctors acknowledge and some don't.). Hubby and I were treated for it, and when I went back to be retested, it was gone but I had another BV infection! Ugh. Was then treated for that, and took the medicine over my period. ANYWAY, I usually ovulate around Day 16-17. I was actually out of town for over a week last week due to the illness and passing of my grandmother. My temperatures are all over the place and as far as I know, I have not had a significant, steady shift, but even though I'm only at Day 15, I believe I may have ovulated days ago. The last few days I've had EXTREMELY sore breasts and nipples and ovulation pains. I usually start OPKs at Day 11, and they have only been getting fainter with each passing day, instead of getting darker toward the 14th/15th. Today my CM is also completely dried up. Is it possible that I ovulated days-if not a week early due to the antibiotic treatment, travel, and/or stress? Also, does anyone think my infection problems are because I'm allergic to my husband's sperm? Every doctor/midwife I've been to has assured me this could not possibly be the case-but why do I keep getting these horrible infections?! Any advice/knowledge would help. Thank you!
