How do you stay motivated?

So I started working out finally and was doing 6 day a week. I did this for a couple of weeks and was feeling great. I would work out as soon as I put DD down for her morning nap. It was great. But then boom DD's schedule went out the window, so now it's been a week of me trying to figure out her new schedule and therefore have used that as an excuse to not exercise. Now I am thinking of doing it in the evening once she is down for the night, then that way I can do it without interruption. So all that said, what do you lady's do to keep yourself motivated???

Re: How do you stay motivated?

  • My husband and I are having a contest to see who can lose the most weight haha cause he put on more baby weight than I did:) but with my job I'm "working out" all the time and when I'm not I make to take LO out for a walk.

  • I try to do it first thing in the morning so I get it over with.  If I am really feeling unmotivated, I try to go put on my pre-pregnancy jeans.  That usually does it.  :-)

  • I am only 2 days in, but have been taking DD to the basement with me to workout....she practices rolling and plays with toys on a blanket near me. I did turbo fire the first day and 30 day shred yesterday. Worked well the first day, but she got antsy towards the end of the second. I am going to try again and if it won't work will do during a nap.

We are so thankful that our second daughter, Lillian Elizabeth "Lily", was born healthy and happy on February 11, 2013.  We love her to pieces.

We lost our first daughter, Hannah Grace on May 4, 2011.  She was buried on May 14 during a beautiful service at my home church. We are grateful that if she could not be here with us, that she is healed and whole with the Lord. We look forward to the day when we will get to meet her. We love her so much.

  • I've found that, for me, if I wait till hubby gets home from work, and wait till after dinner, I will never go to the gym.

I have to go right after work on the days my hubby has DS, and then my MIL comes over one afternoon and I do my 3rd day then.  It's hard, but remember, every little bit counts, and going and just doing treadmill is better then nothing :)
