DD regress on potty

DD started going potty in her princess potty chair on April 15th. she wanted to do it, we were shocked she was basically potty training herself since we hadnt mentioned it really at all. she went at least once a day sometimes more. the most was 5 times in one day. but now she shows no interest at all and gets mad when I ask her which is maybe once every other day. its now been a little over a week since she last peed in potty. I guess we will wait and try when she is ready again. I thought for sure she would have kept up with it. we def. werent pushing it. I am worried in laws may have though..or daycare.. IDK..or maybe I wasnt rewarding her or making it a big enough deal..who knows.

Re: DD regress on potty

  • DD did this also a few months back. She was going poop and pee regularly and then refused. We took a break for two months and now she is definitely more emotionally ready. We are hoping the trip we are on right now doesn't throw her off too much

eh, i bet no one did anything wrong...just sounds like she figured out a new game...then got bored with it. at least she'll already know what/how to do it when she really does want to!

This. We've been going through this since like 18 months..lol. Somedays she cares, somedays she doesn't. I just don't think she has the "intellegince" to make the connection yet to what she has to do and why.

Whatever, I'll just keep asking, not pushing and letting her play around with it. She'll get it in time.
