So i'm at 40 weeks already. I guess DD is too comfy in my belly and she still not ready to meet everyone yet:( Dr said wait till 10 more days (4th June) I'm have to go for the inducing birth, I heard it hurts like he!l. Hopefully she will come out naturally before that. I'm beyond anxious and worried already.
Thanks for reading this and wish my luck ladies:)

Re: 40 weeks of pregnant:(
40 weeks is tough! Hang in there!
I had my son 11 days after my due date, so I can sympathize.
Your doctor should not be setting arbitrary limits on gestation though. I wouldn't trust a doctor who wants to induce with no medical evidence that it's necessary, especially since it doubles your chances of c-section. My doctor just had me come in for monitoring to make sure everything was okay. My sister's doctor pushed an induction and she ended up pushing for 3hrs and still ended with c-section and a baby in the NICU with a fever.
If you choose induction, that's one thing. Doctors are just way to quick to make that call.
No matter what, pregnancy is almost over! You'll be holding that baby soon, even though I know it feels like every day lasts for a month at this point.
Ugh, that just sounds heavy...literally. Even though you are ready, give baby time.I just read this this week and I hope I have the strength at the end to remember to stand strong for labor to begin on it's own as long as baby is healthy.
Try to enjoy some sleep while you still can!

Hang in there, mama! Try to relax. Stress can stall labor, you know
FWIW, I was induced at 42 weeks.
There are medical reasons for inductions in overdue women-- the placenta starts deteriorating between 40-42 weeks. As other posters mentioned, the closer you get to 42 weeks, you'll need to be monitored to make sure yours still looks healthy.
Both of my labors were induced (one at 41w and one 37w4d for high blood pressure) and I delivered 2 healthy babies, both sunny side up, vaginally with an epidural.
Hang in there OP!
oh my god..i would die. you are one strong woman. i would have given an evection notice a week prior! lol
I was scheduled for induction at 41 1/2 weeks. I left the hospital on the day I was going to be induced. DS decided to come 2 days before the appointment.... 9 days after his due date. But they still had to give me the pitocin around 7am because my contractions and the dilation of my cervix were not progressing, even tho my water broke at 2am. It does hurt a lot more with the pitocin, but there is the epidural to help with that if the pain is too much for you.
Hang in there and try to relax. Also try walking... it can help induce labor naturally and labor and recovery are easier if you've stayed active throughout your pregnancy.
