No BM for 7 days...WWYD?

DD is EBF and has gone 7 days without a BM. She hasn't really complained like she is constipated, and I know it is typical for BF babies to go longer between BMs. She also has terrible gas we saw the pedi earlier this week and he suggested giving her a pro biotic.

I started that Thursday. At what point would you worry about the lack of BMs? I plan to give the probiotoc through the weekend to see if it helps and maybe then move to trying something else. Any other ideas?

Ds once went over a week. Just get ready for a poopsplosion when it does come. If Lo starts to get uncomfortable, try some tummy massage, bicycling legs, and a warm bath. That will help get things moving naturally.

We asked the pedi about this last week, because we are now at 10 days.  He said anything up to two weeks can be normal!

DD went 3 days without a BM and when she finally went its was a crazy explosion! Stained her clothes. Her pedi said that as long as she isn't showing signs of discomfort they aren't worried.

My little went 3 days without BM. I gave him a little apple juice about an ounce and he had an explosion about six hours later.

DD has gone up to 9 days. I don't think that's her norm because at day 4 she gets clearly uncomfortable. We had to give her a little Tylenol once because she looked like she was so uncomfortable and was screaming. We were told to give her prune juice. We gave her the baby apple prune juice. We only gave her 1/2 oz twice a day and she pooped. So now if she is on day 4 with no poop that's my plan.
My dr said a week is probably when to be concerned.
So I guess it depends on the DR

Take her temp with the tip of the thermometer in her butt.

Mix a little dark karo syrup with BM in a bottle.

Those two things always worked for DS.
