Rise and Shine

Prior to going away on vacation, P woul wake up anytime between 6:30 and 8. While we were away, he would wake up at 5:30 every morning. Well, now that we are home, he's still up at 5:30!!! Since he's up at the asss crack of dawn, I have to give him 2 naps. Are we doomed or will he get back on track?

I feel your pain!  DD was up at 5am and has been doing so for the past couple weeks.  I think eventually your DS will get back on track- it might just take a weeks or so.  Hope he get back to sleeping later soon!

With Alastair we had that problem after he was sick. We took one hellish day of only one nap and a bit of an earlier bedtime and he woke up a little later. From then, he slowly adjusted back to his normal schedule.

He's killing me. I had to put him down already for a nap because he was turning into a major jerk. Ugh!!

LOL!!!  At least he'll give you two naps, C would never stand for that.  He'd just sit and sob.

We had this problem with G for a while. Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child recommends putting the kid to bed earlier than usual for four nights, and that may fix it. It worked for us, he went from 5:30 back to either 6:30 or 7 depending on the day, which is much more acceptable.

I love this book! I followed it loosely since P was 8 weeks old. Thanks, I will check it out.
