Twins...AGAIN

Hiya...Thos is my 1st post on here. I live in England and this is my second fraternal twin pregnancy. I also have two older singletons which brings my grand total to 6!!!!
My 1st twin pregnancy was a shock as I found out at 19wks during a standard midwife appointment. It was completely straightforward apart from majorly low bp so a couple of fainting fits here and there. I gave birth vaginally after induction at 371 to two beautiful boys who were both 5lb 8oz.
I found out about this set of twins at 7wks : and after the initial shock was over the moon!! My intuition says that it's not two boys this time as the 1st 12wks were so different and I look sooooo rough!! I'm not fussed as to their sex...just that they are healthy and fingers crossed not early...
Which brings me on to the reason for my post!! I'm so worried that I'm not going to be as lucky this time and not get as far along this time and go into pre term labor. A c section doesn't scare me as such just trying to deal with two newborns and the other kids when I return. My DH is sooooo supportive as is his mum etc!! I'm so so panicky and wondering if my body can cope with the strain of another twin pregnancy!! Has anyone out there been in the same boat with the same fears??

Im currently pregnant with my first set of twins. I have two singletons as well. I can certainly relate to being worried about preterm labor...its one of my concerns. I carried both of my singletons to term, my first was 5 days past my EDD and I was induced and my second came 10 days before my EDD. My doctor doesnt seem concerned about it. Hes a laid back kind of guy but its definitely something I can relate to. I was just told to relax as much as I can, which can be hard with two young ones as you are aware, Im sure. Keep your fluid intake up as well. As long as you are keeping yourself as healthy as possible and doing what you need to do, you really have no control over it so try not to stress and enjoy it. Yep, easier said than done. Good luck to you and congrats to you as well.

Congrats!  What great news!  Looks like I can learn from you, since you have already had twins once!  You are so lucky to be able to experience this more than once!

I'm pregnant with my second set, but neither were spontaneous. The first set were mono/di boys and this set are frat G/B. I delivered by first set early, so I'm just trying to get past where I got with them! 36 weeks would be great. I'm 285 right now. :

Wow congratulations! My MFM always told me that the number one thing I had going for me in terms of avoiding PTL was a prior full term pregnancy. I imagine if you've got a full term twin pregnancy under your belt you are probably going to be fine! Good luck.

Congrats!! Both my singletons were 2weeks over EDD!! I thought that was bad enough and last time they said all being well they let fraternal twin go to 41wks!!! I nearly cried!! Thank fully the consultant English obgyn at a guess took pity on on me and my almighty bump!! 37 weeks measuring 52!! They treat it like a regular pregnancy just doubled!! Hope all goes ok!! And remember the key to happy twins in routine routine routine!! Any advice just shout!!

Yes I feel lucky!! My 1st set were a dream!! The key to it is routine!! Strict routine!! They are nearly four now and start school in September and as gross as it sounds they still poop at the same time as each other every day as the have done since they were tiny!! I staggered their feeds by half an hr so they never screamed to b fed at the same time!! They slept through from 6 weeks!! It makes all the difference!! Any advice pls ask!! Good luck and enjoy!!!

Triplets is amazing!! Well done to you!! I take my hat off to you!! They must be amazing!! 3 Lil faces looking at you not just two!! I'm gonna just roll with it and see what happens!! Fingers crossed it will go like last time!! Could do without the fainting mind you!! Got very embarrassing!!
