Well, after MONTHS of research and searching and hospital touring I finally made a decision on where I will birth and with whom.
For anyone who hasn't been following my overdramatic journey, I found out a few months ago that H and I are moving from CA to MN... this Sunday actually! I've been under the care of a great group of midwifes here and love them and the birth center so I was sad I had to leave them, especially since there is a lack of midwifes and birth centers where we are going. But I found one hospital that is run by Family Practice doctors, not OBs, and they just built a multi-million dollar hospital-connected birth center. The other hospitals I had to choose from were larger, OB run hospitals.
Anyway, obviously I went with the smaller hospital and just yesterday picked my caregiver from their list of doctors. Really, I left it mostly up to chance by just calling and seeing who was there when I wanted to make my appointment.
I chatted with my new doctor's nurse on the phone for about 20 minutes and she is soooo sweet! I have my first appointment there June 4th and I'm actually excited for it and not dreading it like I had been!
So, hopefully all goes well and I can put this drama behind me. Thank you, ladies, for all of your suggestions and advice. It helped me out a lot!

I’m a modern man, a man for the millennium. Digital and smoke free. A diversified multi-cultural, post-modern deconstruction that is anatomically and ecologically incorrect. I’ve been up linked and downloaded, I’ve been inputted and outsourced, I know the upside of downsizing, I know the downside of upgrading. I’m a high-tech low-life. A cutting edge, state-of-the-art bi-coastal multi-tasker and I can give you a gigabyte in a nanosecond! I’m new wave, but I’m old school and my inner child is outward bound. I’m a hot-wired, heat seeking, warm-hearted cool customer, voice activated and bio-degradable. I interface with my database, my database is in cyberspace, so I’m interactive, I’m hyperactive and from time to time I’m radioactive.
