Totally shocked

I had my lap today and it was TOTALLY different than last time. 

Three years ago it was quick, one single incision, and fairly painless (more gas pain than anything) with my OB... not to mention she didn't find a single thing. 

This time I feel like I got ran over by a Mac truck, have two incisions in my abdomen, and was so nauseous they gave me two different IV drugs, oral drugs and a patch behind my ear.

The biggest difference was when I woke up and my DH told me it wasn't "nothing" this time around. My RE removed some endo and was hopeful that he unblocked BOTH of my tubes. Yep they were both blocked. :(  

I feel great that we have an "answer" but so defeated because not in a million years did I or my doctor think this was going on. Did I just waist this past year and all of my chances? We have almost zero insurance coverage left, don't have it to pay out of pocket, and my RE knows it. He even mentioned to DH that he was going to see if we qualify for the free/reduced study. I just pray we do! I'm so so sad!!!

I have my post op on June 3rd so any thoughts and prayers are appreciated. If any of you have any lap recovery suggestions too I would greatly appreciate it? I feel so lost... When do we all get off this crappy ride. :(

IVF #5: ER 11/4/13 : 13 eggs/12 fertilized, ET 11/9/13 : 5dt of 2 embies/0 frosties BFP!!! Beta 11/20/13 = 447 1 Beautiful Baby! EDD: July 28, 2014

    I am sorry for what you are dealing with.  I will say a prayer that this is what you need to get pregnant.  Sending you a big hug!

    I'm so sorry to hear this and as a fellow endo sufferer I can totally relate.  Hopefully now that problem is resolved you'll get your BFP soon!  Be thinking of you and hoping for good news!

    5/07 - DD conceived naturally cycle #1

    8/09 - Started TTC #2
    11/10 - BFP!
    12/10 - MC (Chemical Pregnancy)
    2/11 - IUI #1 with clomid & trigger = BFN
    5/11- Switched to a Fertility Specialist, Dx with low progesterone and annovulatory, several rounds of
             clomid = BFN's
    4/12 - Exploratory Lap, Dx Stage III endo
    5/12 - 7/12 - Lupron injections to suppress AF and reduce scar tissue
    8/12 - Surgery to remove tissue, uterus and tubes clear!
    9/12-12/12 - More BFN's!
    1/13 - Referred to an RE
    2/13 - IUI #1 with injects and new RE = BFN
    3/13 - 4/13 - Break due to cysts
    5/13 - IUI #2 with injects (125ml bravelle + trigger) = BFP!!!
    EDD - 1/23/14

    Wow to both tubes being completely blocked! That is crazy! I'm sorry you feel terrible- I hope you feel better soon.

    DX: Low AMH 1.79 Mildly elevated FSH 9.9

    1 month of Letrozole, 3 IUI's with Letrozole, All BFN. 1 canceled IVF cycle, BFN.


    May 2013 IVF w/ICSI #1.5: Start BCP 5/8 2 pills a day. Suppression Ultrasound 5/29. Begin Dexamethasone & Lupron Microdose 5/31. Started Gonal F and Menopur 6/2.


    ER 6/12 13R,9M,8F.


    5DT CANCELLED due to moderate OHSS


    5DT UNcancelled due to embryos not being capable of cryopreservation


    Transfered 2 "poor quality" embryo's on 6/17

    No frozen embryos.


    Beta #1 6/25 6. Chemical Pregnancy confirmed. Beta #2 6/28 -1

    I'm so sorry this wasn't discovered sooner.  2IF is a crappy ride!  I hope that is what you needed, and you get that elusive BFP very soon!

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

    4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

    5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

    Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

    August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! 
    Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14
