Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Jekyll and Hyde?

My baby has different personalities. Yesterday I was home alone with her, as I usually am when DH is working, and she was exceptionally cranky and fussy. She had a hard time falling asleep for naps and could only fall asleep if I was holding her. I had to bounce her around in my arms sometimes to calm her down. Mind you, she's almost 14 lbs and I'm not exactly iron woman. My body was hurting. I took her to the mall, and she cried any time I stopped, so I had to keep moving. She had been like this the day before as well. By the end of the day yesterday I was so utterly exhausted I cried.

So today my husband is home from work. I made an appointment to get my hair done and wanted to do some errands while he watched the baby. I was concerned about him being able to handle her by himself. After I got my hair done, I checked in with DH, and he reported that she had been napping and eating peacefully and everything was fine. I went on with my errands, and when I came home, DH reported essentially that LO had been a near perfect angel. What?! DH must think I'm lying about her behavior during the day!

I'm sure this is probably quite normal for many babies. Sure keeps me on my toes not knowing which baby I will have when we wake up!

Madison is not the best napper so she's up most the day she is with me being fussy because she isn't sleeping then I'mnot getting much done because I'm trying to get her to sleep.. Well DH works from home on Tuesdays and it doesn't fail every freaking Tuesday she naps like a champ!!! What the heck!
