Blood clot in uterus after D&C

Has anyone experienced this? I had a D&C on May 8.  On May 22 at my follow up they found that I had a sizeable blood clot in my uterus. I'm still bleeding and my doctor said this is probably why.

My doctor said that I needed to come back in a week and they will check my HCG levels again and they will also check to see if the blood clot is still there. If it is they will give me something to make it pass.

Quite honestly I'm kind of frustrated, mostly b/c I want my body to get back to normal ASAP so we can try again and I see this blood clot as a complication and delay. I think I'm coping with the miscarraige by just putting blinders on and focusing on that, but my question now I guess is has anyone experienced a blood clot in your uterus after a D&C? what exact kind of medication did you have to take and how long did it take to get this taken care of?

I have no experience with this but I just wanted to say I'm sorry.  I know how frustrating it is to try and move forward and not being able to right away because your body is not cooperating.  Years of infertility taught me that.  I really hope the blot clot resolves itself quickly and you can get back to normal.

I'm sorry for your loss...I didn't have blood clot but something similar happened. My d and c was april 17 all was fine then april 22 huge river and large clots were poring out of me. Went to OB she said my uterus was not contracting she gave me methergine which ucks big time then on may 10 went back to OB because still hadn't stopped bleeding and small clots were coming back out...then did uterine biopsy which is the worst pain I've ever been in blood work and US....US found that I still had fluid in my uterus didn't look like placenta or baby material...and a cyst on ovary....so I had to wait for all the results to come back...blood work was fine showed I was slightly amemic well after 6wk of bleeding who
wouldn't be the biopsy came back negative and the cyst is a simple cyst that should absorb back into body......hope this helps somewhat
