Question for those who CAN conceive but choose to adopt

We have just started our research on the long adoption process. Of course there are a million questions but there are several concerns and thoughts I have that I'd like to talk out with someone who was able to have a child, yet choose adoption (or has an adoptive child and bio. child) If you'd be willing to share your opinion off the boards, I'd greatly appreciate it.     I can't figure out how to PM, but you can PM me if you'd like. We have 1 bio and are adopting. We may or  may not have 1 more after our son and daughter come home. We haven't yet decided whether it will be by adoption or if we will conceive (if we do in fact decide to have one more).

    I would like to hear some of these responses too. ?We have a bio child and cannot have any others. ?I would really like to get perspective from those who have both.

    We are adopting our next child or 2.  We have 2 bio & 1 on the way.  For me, it just has to do with helping children who need it.  We will be taking an older, ill or otherwise hard to place child/children (siblings perhaps).  I feel called to this & always have.  It probably comes from having an adopted hard to place brother (he was #4 out of 5 kids in my family).  I adore him & always have...he's such a blessing to our family.  Also I am extremely pro-life & want to provide a home for a child whose mother chose to have him in a not so ideal circumstance.  I totally admire those biological mothers & consider them heros to put a child they won't even keep ahead of their own wants & needs.  Since I am very pro-life & came from a very pro-life background many, many of my friends are adopted &/or have adopted children...it's something we all believe in.  My DH probably didn't think about it before meeting me but he's totally on-board.  He wants to start the process right after I have #3 in June.  Anyway hope that helps to explain it.
