I went for my second u/s for this cycle, and I'm having *very* slow to minimal growth so we scheduled another one for Monday (CD20). The plan for this cycle was to trigger and do an IUI, and today I found out that my RE's office does not do IUI after CD21 but they didn't given me a reason. I obviously plan on asking on Monday when we go back, in case they do cancel. So here is my questions:
1. What will make your RE cancel an IUI cycle?
2. How late into your cycle will an RE still do an IUI?
3. Have you ever been cancelled and why?
Thanks ladies! Just trying to get some idea of why they would only do it up to CD21.

1. What will make your RE cancel an IUI cycle?
My RE will cancel if your lining is thin from clomid, but I have not heard of him canceling a cycle after a certain cycle day....especially if I am paying for injects, what a waste of money to have them just cancel after a certain day. I would be pretty pissed. The only other reason would be if there were too many follicles.
2. How late into your cycle will an RE still do an IUI?
My RE will go as long as it takes me to have the right size follicle and E2 levels. For example, I triggered for my last cycle on CD19
3. Have you ever been cancelled and why?
I was cancelled with my old RE because he had me on Follistim for about three days and I had no improvement. I have not had a cancelled cycle with new RE.
GL to you!
