ergo carriers

sorry for asking about baby carriers so much lately! I just purchased the organic ergobaby carrier from Nordstrom because it's on sale during their Half Yearly sale. I'm going to buy an insert too. Did you buy more than one? Or use a ring sling or moby too, or what? Trying to figure out if we should purchase two, just in case. So H can carry one and I can too.

We had one Moby and one Ergo. I think for the infant stage I'd prefer a Baby K'tan or something rather than Ergo w/infant insert. If I did it over again, I'd get two Baby K'tans and two Ergos.

I am in the opposite camp...I never got into baby wearing. i found that I always needed the stroller anyways to hold all of our stuff. I found it hot (may babies) and uncomfortable. But I am totally in the minority. We did a trip when they were 6 months and our friends to us to bring the carriers and we would use them all the time. we didn't.

I would wait and see how you like it and what your babies are like and then pick up another (or borrow from someone).

We have one Ergo, one k'tan, one moby ad one mei tai. Also, I could send you my insert. We only used it for about 2 weeks. I have tried to sell it on CL with no luck. Just want to get rid of it!

We got one 2nd hand for $25 brand spankin new, and until we had them we waited to know if they liked them. They LOVE them and so do I so we just bought another for DH. I went to the store today and had one in the Ergo and one in the cart and it went very smoothly. I highly recommend them!

Mine got too big too fast to wear them!

You should make sure you and DH like the carrier by trying them.  Also some babies do not like them...so you may want to wait.
