Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

rec bike helmet for toddler

I need to get a bike helmet for my DS who is 21 months old (will be 2 in August).

I have seen a few, but the reviews are mixed especially with the sizing.  There are no stores near me that have any in stock for his age either, so I have to order online.

I am looking at these 2:

Please share if you have one that works for your toddler!  TIA

I haven't bought a helmet yet.  But I grew up with parents who owned a bicycle shop.  Scwhinn and Bell are both reputable companies who put out quality helmets so I don't think you can go wrong.

I would suggest finding an actual bike shop and talking to the owner/employees about it.  Normally they will order you a helmet if you need one they don't have in stock.  Then you can pick it up there and have it properly sized.  Most parents don't really know what it looks like when they're on properly and put too much or too little of the removable pads in, which makes the helmet much less effective in an accident.

Thanks for advice!  I appreciate it :)
