3rd Trimester

Nauseous in the third trimester?

Hi ladies, I was just wondering if anyone is nauseous in their third trimester? I felt a little sick a few days ago and again today. It's slight and not as bad as during my first trimester but its still there. Does morning sickness come back in the third trimester?

Re: Nauseous in the third trimester?

  • I haven't been nauseous per se, but I haven't felt well in almost 2 weeks. My doctor said it's normal, hang in there.

  • I NEVER got morning sickness in my first trimester and I have heard that it can return in the third trimester.  Oddly enough, I am 35 weeks and have felt nauseous twice in the past week, throwing up only once.  Mainly at night as well.  I think it's perfectly normal, probably just the rush of hormones and your body getting ready for the big day!  Drinking ginger ale helps me tremendously.  Feel better!
  • YES!  Very nauseous.  Just this morning on our way to daycare/work, I felt like I was going to yak.  It comes/goes in waves.  Just make sure you have something on your stomach.

  • I've noticed this in the last week too. I haven't found anything that could be causing it (like something I'm eating) so I'm chalking it up to just third tri awesomeness!

  • Nausea came back, for me, this week. I am hoping it's just a fluke and it doesn't continue.

  • Can't really help here.. I've had morning sickness the whole pregnancy and I'm 39 wks today
  • Nausea has returned for me in the 3rd tri.

Not as bad as I had it in the 1st tri, but definitely there and still in the evening/night like 1st tri.

  • I'm 37 weeks on Thursday, and my nausea returned about 3 weeks ago. It's mostly in the morning, and I have been throwing up stomach acid. Usually lots of ice water and some dry grains can settle my stomach enough so I can work.
