Cooking question..

I have a recipe for french dips in the crock pot. It calls for french onion soup dry mix (which I thought I had, but do not), but I only have a can of condensed french onion soup. Could I sub the can for the dry mix and just reduce the cup of water that I am suppose to add?

  • I feel like this will work just fine.  And, if it is the recipe for french dips that I have used...they are effin delicious!!

Never done it, but I would think it'd work.  I'd skip the cup of water completely, though.  My recipes tend to be dry mix + water/broth OR soup.
