So court tomorrow b/c X is again in arrears of CS. But this is the first time I will be seeing him since he told me he's dying and wants to sign the papers to allow my H to adopt the children.

I am interested in seeing how this situation goes. Is any of this going to be addressed at this court date? Or is this strictly in regards to arrears ?

I am curious (if ex isn't lying about cancer) if a judge will even grant termination of parental rights while one of the parties is "terminal". Brain tumors can affect a persons way of thinking and no legal decisions should be made during this time, I would assume.

Good luck. I really want to know if he pulls this card in court for arrears. If he doesn't, then you have to know it's not true. I might be tempted to bring it up if it can be worked in just to force the truth from him.

Without going into a ton of details, I personally knew someone who faked cancer and her EX hired a private investigator and then took her to court to get his 2 kids from her once they discovered it was in fact a lie. She lied in court and the court subpoened her medical records which she couldn't produce and was forced to reveal the truth. She was extreme in her lies and it made national news.
