Hi ladies,
Thanks for the shout out and cheers this week. Another reminder of how much this board rocks!
We had our second u/s this morning and we saw a heartbeat! This was a first for us - we've never made it that far - and it was breathtaking. My husband started crying. We are 6 1/2 weeks, which is what I thought going in.
Jacque - I haven't intro'd anywhere because as you said, I'm laying low. It's just too painful to intro and then say good bye. Just another example of how prior losses really mess with you. I'm not sure when it feels comfortable enough but hopefully it's soon.
As for the "house" - well, it's an apartment so pictures are very unexciting
Jchow - we are moving to Prospect Heights - so leaving Manhattan for Brooklyn! Maybe we'll join you in the burbs in a few years!
xoxo to all of you!

Oh, Lenox......I am speechless due to being so excited for you and your hubby! I can imagine how special that moment was of hearing that little heartbeat. Wow, how surreal. (I have a big grin on my face, as I type) What a beautiful image to think of your sweet husband crying while hearing his son or daughter in your belly.
So, perfect! What was the baby's heartrate? I am sure it was very strong. Can you keep the recording of the baby's heartbeat or do I have it all wrong in how that stuff works?
I can understand your apprehension and know that you are always welcome here, we will celebrate with you until the finish line!
We will be your cheerleaders! Woopwoop....Take your time and know that it will be the right time, when you see fit. Sending you Big Hugs! I can so understand the pain of what you are saying, so, know that we are here for you.
In regards to your home, it is your home! Apartments are beautiful. Hope you have lots of fun decorating it and setting up the nursery for your little one.
Thanks for sharing with us and letting us know how it all went. So, happy for you....Best wishes!
I am so happy and excited to read this post, Lenox. I grew up in Brooklyn, near Bay Ridge. Best of luck and hope you have an easy breezy pregancy! Let me know if you move up to the burbs one day, I need some hip friends up there.
ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)
