1. Were you named after anyone? and who? First name is after Sarah from the
Bible, middle name is after a Great uncle I had who died in WWII 

2. What is your favorite Ice Cream? I really like Butter Pecan

3.  Do you have any special talents? Not really...I used to dance but wasn't really good at it.

4. What's the farthest you have been from home? Europe

5. What is the first thing you noticed about your DH/SO when you first met them? His eyes, he has beautiful blue eyes! He also had long hair and looked really "bad boy" like, I thought he was so hot and I was only 12/13 when I first met him!

Thanks! I do need the distraction today! My cousin just had her baby boy this afternoon. Lots of new mothers in my life lately. I'm feeling like I'll never be joining them.

1. Were you named after anyone? and who?

My MN is Lysa. I'm named after my Aunt Lisa (mom's sister) and Aunt Lesa (dad's sister).

2. What is your favorite Ice Cream?

Mint N Chip!!

3.  Do you have any special talents?

I used to be pretty good @ piano and sax. I haven't touched either of the two instruments in years!

4. What's the farthest you have been from home?

Probably Canada or Florida

5. What is the first thing you noticed about your DH/SO when you first met them?

We met in the 7th grade. He was still very immature (as most boys are at that age), but I was secretly attracted to him for a few years before we started dating.

My middle nameS are both from different grandmothers. My first name is after some random lady on an 80's soap opera.

3. Do you have any special talents?

I was a dancer for the majority of my life. I miss it.

4. What's the farthest you have been from home?

First time out of the country was our honeymoon in Bermuda.

5. What is the first thing you noticed about your DH/SO when you first met them?

I was very attracted to his forearms. Haha. He's a really stocky build, and his forearms are huge...looks like e could literally scoop you up in his arms and carry you away....hmmmmmm....

1. Were you named after anyone? and who?  My first name was found in the phone book(Monica) and my middle name (Marie) was supposed to be after my great grandmas middle name...I found out when I was 22 that great grandmas middle name was Madge...my mom got it wrong

2. What is your favorite Ice Cream? Cookie dough fo sho!

3.  Do you have any special talents? I can fold my tongue into a cloverleaf shape....does that count?

4. What's the farthest you have been from home?  Sadly the farthest from Missouri was on our honeymoon to Jamaica.

5. What is the first thing you noticed about your DH/SO when you first met them? Too quiet....like...creepily quiet.  I wasn't into him at all.

1)  I was named after my aunt who passed away while she was an infant from an infection.  After hearing what my parents named me, it was the only time anyone ever saw my grandpa cry - he and I were super close!

1. Were you named after anyone? and who? My name is my mother's middle name, and my great grandmother's middle name too :-D I love my name!

2. What is your favorite Ice Cream? I only get to list one?!?! Right now I'm going to say Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie... but I also love the Peanut Butter Cup flavor... and basically anything with chocolate.

3.  Do you have any special talents? I don't want to toot my own horn, but I'm a professional oboist (did you catch the pun there?!). My day job is an elementary band director, so I can play all of the instruments in the band (flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, horn, trumpet, trombone, baritone, tuba, percussion). I also have a steady hand and am meticulous, so I'm a pretty good painter and love doing anything crafty.

4. What's the farthest you have been from home? We went to Sardegna last summer. 

5. What is the first thing you noticed about your DH/SO when you first met them? Oh, he was all dressed up in a shirt and tie because he was doing his student teaching in his senior year of college. We were both in the college wind ensemble, and he stood up on the podium to tune the band. He was all smiles, eyes twinkling, saying hello to everyone. We weren't introduced yet, but I was oogling him for a long time before we finally hooked up

1. Were you named after anyone? and who?

I was named after my grandmothers.  First name after my mom's mom and middle name after my dad's mom.  I hated my middle name (Frances) growing up!  I don't mind it so much now.

2. What is your favorite Ice Cream?

I like to change it up, but coffee is probably my favorite!

3.  Do you have any special talents?

I can Irish step dance...yes, like Riverdance, if you remember that from about 10  years ago.  I did it growing up and even taught for awhile.

4. What's the farthest you have been from home?

Russia. My husband studies Russian literature and the first couple summers we dated, he spent summers in Russia leading undergrads on study abroad trips. In 2009, I met him over there (after the students had left) and we spent a week and a half touring around Russia.

5. What is the first thing you noticed about your DH/SO when you first met them?

Actually, when we first met, we weren't too impressed with one another.  He was giving me a hard time about not wanting to go to this party. Apparently, upon first meeting, he thought I seemed a bit stuffy.

1. Were you named after anyone? and who? My first name came from a book my mother loved as a kid. My middle name is the same middle of my mom, my grandmother, and my great grandmother. 

2. What is your favorite Ice Cream? Plain ole' chocolate! I'm boring, I know. 

3.  Do you have any special talents? Hmmmm...I can tap dance. I used to teach. I can knit. My husband would say my greatest talent is my ability to argue...I have made a whole career out of it  

4. What's the farthest you have been from home?  I have been to the Cape of Good Hope....the southern most point of Africa. 

5. What is the first thing you noticed about your DH/SO when you first met them? He is warm. Not temperature wise, but he just comes off as a teddy bear. Warm and kind.

1. I was not. My parents just decided they liked my name.

2. This is tough, because I feel like you really can't go wrong with ice cream, but I would say at the moment, it is Late Night Snack from Ben and Jerry's.

3.  I have literally NO talents. LOL.  

4. I think probably Korea is the farthest I have been from home. My sister was born there.

5.  How polite he was, while at the same time, having an awesome sense of humor.  But also, I thought he was hot.

Kind of but not really. My dad was a cop and his partner's wife had my name. My mom loved the name so much that she gave me it. My middle name is for my grandma.

Mint chocolate chip.

Florida. (I'm on the west coast).

His accent. He is from Vermont but gets asked all the time if he's from Georgia.

1. Were you named after anyone? and who? No. My name was my mom's favorite name ever. She named all her dolls Katie as a child, and always said her daughter's name would be Katie.

4. What's the farthest you have been from home? Rhode Island. Never been anywhere too far, but lived tons of different places in the US.

I went to grad school 10 hours from home and lived there for about 4 years and it was awful!!

His smile and his nice teeth : smile and teeth Are the first things I notice when I meet people and his were perfect!
