Quick background... First 3 week LO was not sleeping any longer than 2 hours. We tried everything swaddling (own every swaddle possible), different feeding/changing/rocking routine, keeping her up during the day, white noise, etc. but nothing would keep her asleep. She would startle herself awake and/or wake up with the hick-ups.
Well this last week we found the trick. She will sleep in her Mamaroo for two, four hour stretches! It's magical! We lean it back so she on her back, with the white noise, turn it on "rock a bye" and she is fast asleep. However, because she isn't sleeping in her crib I feel like a failure and question myself. Does anyone else's LO sleep in a bouncer/swing/mamaroo? Should I feel so bad? We plan on transferring her to her crib in a couple of weeks when she can self soothe.

your baby can't self soothe until she is 6 months old. If she is 3 weeks now, a couple weeks is still too young.
my DS falls asleep in his swing but we always transfer him to his bassinette once he's in a "deep" sleep
