Now I know why people move to the suburbs when they have kids, better school and daycares, did I mention a daycare by Washington avenue runs at 1,300 a month? and the waiting list is at least 8-10 months!!!! I have been looking for a daycare in the Washington/Heights area, any help would be appreciated!!!
thank you
Re: Daycares in the Washington Area
That's the going rate and minimum wait time for spring branch/memorial as well.
I don't live in that area but I have heard good things about Esperanza School and Trinity Lutheran Downtown. Specifically, my office used to be very close to Esperanza School and a lot of people used them and still do and those that have used them speak very highly of the school.
I just put my name on a wait list and I'm not due til end of November! In the mean time I'm doing my research! I make sure they have a newborn care specialist on staff (which many of them don't)...but yet they charge an arm and a leg!
Good luck!
