I have seen a few Jenns on here. I'm curious when naming your children did you try for a name that wouldn't be in the top 10? I just know being one of 5 Jennifer's in my graduating class of less than 100 I wanted something a bit different not throwing out scrabble tiles and seeing what lands different, but notIsabelle, Ava, Sophia, Madison, etc. just curious. All other top ten mommas opinions welcome (Ashley, Lindsey, you know!)
Re: Jenn
I'm a Jennifer and I only had 3 in my class but I was the only one that went by Jenni so it wasn't to bad.
DS1 is a Bryce which became popular around the time I had him but there isn't anyone in his class with the name so far.
DS2 is a Brock and I haven't heard it a lot. I think I know 2 other people with the name in they are in the 20's.
DS3 is a Briar and it's not even ranked on the list but there are two Briar's in DS1 class but they wont be close in school so I don't think they would care about having the same name.
Our girls names were: Beatrice, Brylie, Briegh, Brodie.

IT'S A BOY
I try to avoid popular names. I've found it's harder to do that with boy names though, because a lot of the "classics" are in the top 100. And the further down the list you go, the more obscure and bizarre boy names get. It seems there's a lot more options with girls and you can find some very lovely and unique girl names that aren't in the top 100 or even 200.
That said, I knew for years my first daughter's name would be Evelyn. It was my grandmother's name and I always loved it. The year we named her it wasn't even in the top 100. Now it's #23 (the last time I looked) and I'm not gonna lie - I'm a little annoyed, lol. Every time I turn around someone is naming their daughter Evelyn. It's not unique anymore.
So you can pick names, but you can't predict the trends for the next few years. I would be more concerned about picking a name you and SO love, and don't let the number be the deciding factor.
